8pm on August 2nd and 3rd allow students and teachers alike an opportunity to try out new things, show off what they’ve learned, and overall have a great time performing on stage.

We’ve been around 30 years as a nonprofit. In that time we’ve been lucky enough to have worked with a whole bunch of Metro Detroit’s finest creative minds.
Over the years we’ve grown from being a simple black box theatre inside a purple building on Caniff into a multi building complex with shows and classes and 3 busy stages, all still right here in Hamtramck.
We’re run by a small team and we’re also all artists. We realize Planet Ant is much more than a history or a collection of buildings. We’re a community. Our drive is to generate paid work, facilitate space, and to get audiences to see the all the amazing stuff you do.
